SI Etiler, consisting of business & professional women members, was chartered in 1988.

CLUB FOUNDED 1988

Soroptimist International is a global, project-based organization focusing on education, economic empowerment, women rights, health & environment by utilizing the occupational experience & knowledge of its members.

WE SUPPORT OUR WOMEN WITH OUR AWARDED PROJECTS

SI Etiler represents the organization with successful projects mostly concerned with economic empowerment. The club has carried out many projects, contributing to the development of women since its foundation. The club has granted scholarship to dozens of high school girls & university women. With a sustainable economic community project called “Weaving Lives”, ongoing in Mardin since 2001, the Club has empowered women through vocational training in carpet weavings well as reviving a traditional art. The project has been awarded many national & international prizes. KIMIM (Vocational Training & Employment Support Center)was established in Balat Culture House in 2015 and nominated for SIE Best Practice Award in the field of economic empowerment.

SI Etiler, with 33 current members & 3 honorary members, is a member of SI Turkey. Soroptimist International of Europe(SIE) carries out projects in the fields of environment, education, economic empowerment, elimination of violence against women & girls & health in correspondence with the global ideals of Soroptimist International.

Soroptimist International of Europe(SIE) carries out projects in the fields of environment, education, economic empowerment, elimination of violence against women & girls & health in correspondence with the global ideals of Soroptimist International.
